| Hotel Facilities |
There are two lounges furnished with large squishy sofas and modern glass coffee tables where you can relax, play board games if it rains, and enjoy a drink from our comprehensively stocked bar. Here you can peruse the menu or read a cookery book, hundreds of which feature hugely on our bookshelves, before moving on to the Restaurant itself which overlooks the River Irfon and is decorated in a contemporary style. The restaurant features polished wood tables, lovely Welsh slate table mats, generous linen napkins and a large picture window which affords a lovely view of the river and the old stone bridge, beyond which lies the town green.

| Nearby Attractions |
Bird watching is also a very popular pastime and the once endangered red kite now flourishes in this area. Golf is available at the Builth Wells golf club a mere 15 minutes away. Horse riding can also be arranged, as this was the original home of Welsh pony trekking! - just give us a call and we will organise everything for you, whether horses, bikes or whatever.
If you fancy a day by the sea, the resorts of Newquay, Aberaeron and Aberystwyth are a mere hour’s drive away, Tenby, Saundersfoot or the Gower Peninsula just a little further. We are also well placed to visit the castles of the Marches such as Raglan, Caerphilly and Chepstow, as well as the fairytale Castel Coch (the Red Castle) a 13th Century castle re-built by the Marquis of Bute, who refashioned Cardiff Castle in the same high Victorian style. There is also a magnificent Roman Amphitheatre at Caerleon near Newport which is well worth a visit. |
