Dining is a very important element of any vacation experience. With this in mind, every effort is made to ensure that the quality of our food is a set at a very high level with a focus on Thai dishes and locally sourced ingredients.

We take pride in the use of only fresh ingredients – no frozen food at Golden Buddha Beach Resort. For the coming season, we will offer Lunch a la carte and a fixed dinner served family style when possible, always offering a variety of dishes that include both fresh fish and vegetarian dishes. Breakfast is a la carte with a selection of Thai and Western choices.

Sea Breeze Bar:
Our open-air Sea Breeze bar blends perfectly with the remote island location with splendid views of the Andaman Sea looking directly west toward the setting sun. It is only too easy to imagine sea pirates dropping in for a drink before drifting back out to sea.

Activities can be enjoyed by all ages and fitness levels, with the assistance of local guides and experienced instructors. From Andaman Safaris to amazing scuba diving plus scuba instruction with Blue Guru Diving Centre; from bird watching to trekking and yoga, this is genuine ecotourism at its best in one of Thailand 's last remaining pristine islands.

Yoga on Golden Buddha Beach:
Generally our instructors teach group sessions for 1½ hours in the morning and 1½ hours in the afternoon. Private lessons are available too.

Catamaran Sailing:
Golden Buddha Resort is pleased to welcome the addition of tailored sailing packages starting from November 2010. With our hosts Todd and Tracy and their Custom Built Catamaran Gone Surfin' you can enjoy the excitement of the wind in your hair on this top quality yacht.

Working together with Todd and Tracy we can offer you a number of options. Depending on your individual requirements we are able to package trips to secluded islands, sunset sails with a romantic dinner or even overnight trips to the world famous Surin Islands.

Treking, Birding, and Safaris:
Golden Buddha Island offers some of the most diverse and unique terrain in all of Thailand. Treks can range from a simple walk down the beach to a half day trek through rainforest. Our knowledgeable guides will take you through mangrove forests, across sprawling savannah and across Koh Ra’s hilly rainforest to reach a secluded beach. Even guides from Chiang Mai, Thailand 's trekking and adventure epicenter, come to Golden Buddha to experience being alone with nature.

Diving, Snorkeling and Sea Kayaking:
Golden Buddha's remote location in the Andaman Sea provides an opportunity for some of the best snorkeling and scuba diving in Thailand. The resort is the closest point to the world renown dive site Richelieu Rock and Tachai Island famous for whale sharks and the closest landfall to the stunning Surin islands national park. Here guests can enjoy snorkeling among some of the most vibrant coral this side of the Great Barrier Reef. If staying above the water is more to your liking, then we also offer some great kayaking around the island and through many small tidal rivers that cut through Koh Phra Thong.
