The tradition of the Turkish bath extends far back, to a time before Turks had reached Anatolia. When the Turks arrived in Anatolia, they brought with them one bathing tradition, and were confronted with another, that of Romans and Byzantines, with certain local variants. The traditions merged, and with the addition of the Moslem concern for cleanliness and its concomitant respect for the uses of water, there arose an entirely new concept, that of the Turkish Bath. Buy a token for a return trip and get on the historical train and live our history like the old and new residents of Istanbul did and still do. You can choose to return from the 601 meter long historical subway (Tunnel) that was made in the year 1875 or continue towards Beyoglu, Karakoy and then to the Galata Bridge, and experience life in Istanbul at night. When you look across from Galata Bridge you will see Galata Tower that was built by Genoese, inviting you to see Istanbul through its eyes from each and every angle. Maybe you would like to dine at historical Cicek Pasaji or Galata Tower the next night.
