'Rawla' as the word suggests is the tradional ladies quarter of an aristocratic Rajput home.Built in the early 1950's,it is the residence of the Rawatsar Thikana which was the estate of the erstwhile Bikaner state and traces its history to the 16th century,The chief of Rawatsar being one of the four premier nobles of the State.
The residence built by Padmashree Rani Lakshmi Kumari Chundawat is one of the most honoured personalities of Rajasthan.Known for her love for Literature and History. She served three times in the state assembly and once in the National Parliament.A person who stood by her virtues and abandoned the Purdah in the fuedal era.A very well read,well versed and a widely travelled person, she is also an author and a gifted story teller.
