The Pack Luck Wine Bar opened its first bottle in November 2006. Ever since it has been a popular hangout and meeting spot for locals, local expats and tourists alike.

Luang Prabang:
Luang Prabang in northern Laos was the ancient capital city of the Lane Xang Kingdom. In 1995 it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and since it has become the most popular tourist destination in the country. Luang Prabang has a lot of natural, historical and cultural landmarks.
Phra Thaat Phou Si:
Phra Thaat Phou Si (Phou Si Temple) is situated on top of Phou Si mountain in the center of Luang Prabang. Climbing up the 328 stairs and enjoying the views of the city and the most beautiful sunset are a must.
National Museum:
In the National Museum, the former Royal Palace, you can study the history of the Lao throne and the Kings of Lane Xang. Outside of the museum in front of King Sisavangvong's statue is the Phra Bang Chapel which houses the Phra Bang (the holy Buddha statue that represents the city of Luang Prabang).
Wat Xieng Thong:
Wat Xieng Thong is the most beautiful temple in Luang Prabang. It was built in 1560 and perfectly displays Lao architecture. Wat Xieng Thong houses the royal urns used during the royal funeral ceremony.
Tham Ting:
Tham Ting, also known as Pak Ou Caves, are located at Pak Ou about 40 kilometers from Luang Prabang. There are countless Buddha images of different sizes inside the caves. The caves can be visited by using a speed boat, a slow boat or by a combination of bus/tuk-tuk and ferry boat across the Mekong.
Taat Kuang Si:
Taat Kuang Si is the highest and most famous waterfall in the vicinity of Luang Prabang. It is located 30 kilometers south of the town and provides the perfect place for relaxation because of its clear waters, fresh air and fantastic views. |
