Our Beach:
The pristine Playa del Coco stretches uninterrupted for kilometers to both the north and the south. At the northern end lies a private bay allowing for calm swimming and sunning. A walk south brings you to a sea turtle sanctuary where you can watch and learn about the turtles and how they lay their eggs. Of course, you can walk right out in front of Playa Grande to catch a game of volleyball or simply soak your feet in the warm sea.
The Pool:
The centerpiece of Playa Grande is our spectacular cascading pool which covers over 1/3 of an acre. With three waterfalls, a swim-up bar and a bubbling 20 person hot tub, the pool at Playa is always fun, always refreshing.
First pool set up for children graduating from 1 to 2.5 feet with 2 bubblers.
Fitness Room:
The fitness minded are right at home at Playa Grade. Our state-of-the-art fitness center will keep muscles toned and heart pumping. Fully air-conditioned and with LCD-TV's, you'll have no problem waking up for your morning workout.
Tennis Court:
Looking to change up your workout routine? Perhaps a friendly tennis match on our championship court is what you are looking for. Either way, you'll find plenty of exercise at Playa Grande.
Roof-Top Palapa:
Want to have some serious tanning or host a group barbeque? Each building at Playa Grande is topped with a giant roof-top palapa providing the perfect place to watch the whales breach or take in a magnificent sunset. Equipped with barbecues, lighting and electricity, a small evening get together is never better than under a Playa Grande palapa.
Conference Room:
The conference room can seat up to sixty people for a business meeting or special event. Weddings are ideal in the conference room as the adjoining patio opens to beautiful Playa Grande sunsets. Top-of-the-line communications equipment and a stage for the head table will make your occasion worry free.
Computer & Library Room:
Wireless internet is provided through out the resort but you can keep in touch with people back home at our computer room complete with printer. Our library is on an honor system, so help yourself to a favorite book and leave one you have already enjoyed. The library affords a quiet, comfortable spot to stretch out and read. |

Boca de Iguanas - A tiny beachfront community on Tenacitita Bay. Its wide flat beach is perfect for children.
Chihuatlan - Located on Highway 200 at the Eastern border of Jalisco. It is the business centre for nearby Barra de Navidad and Melaque.
Cuastecomates - A tiny village on its own small bay just west of Melaque. It features a number of beach restaurants and one beautiful hotel
La Manzanilla - A small community located on a gently sloping beach with gentle surf.
Melaque - A bustling center with many businesses located 2 miles northwest of Barra de Navidad. There are numerous hotels and an RV park along its lengthy beach.
Tecuan - The surf is somewhat rougher here but is good for surfing. The beach and lagoon are good for bird watching, fishing and hiking.
Old Downtown Manzanillo - Located about 45 minutes away, has 500 years of tradition and culture to experience.
Colima Volcano - This volcano is one of the world's most active volcanoes.
El Tortugario - Children will love this special place down the Mexican Riviera Coast in Cuyutlan. Cuyutlan is a 45 minute palm lined drive from Manzanillo. The purpose of El Tortugario is to protect sea turles, iguanas, and crocodiles from future extinction. |
