The place is just as beautiful in winter the sight of Gullfoss waterfall is magnificent when garbed in ice and snow. "The Northern Lights" aurora borealis dancing in the starlit sky on a clear winter night is a sight one never forgets.
The Hotel is located ca. 60 km from Selfoss 7 km from Geysir, 3 km by Gullfoss. Brattholt is by highway 35 and an excellent starting point for the Kj๖lur route and a good place to rest on the way back.
There are many beautiful hiking trails close to Brattholt among them the Hvita Canyon trail, there is only 30 minutes walk to Gullfoss waterfall from the the hotel by the Canyon. |
